Assistant Professor, Operations Management

The Ohio State University, Max M. Fisher College of Business invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty positions in Operations Management at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning autumn 2024. The position will be in the Department of Operations and Business Analytics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in operations management, or closely related field. Field of specialization within operations management is open but exceptional promise in both research and teaching is required. We expect applicants to be effective in teaching Operations Management courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our research and course offerings in operations management emphasize management issues using data-driven decision-making.

At the Fisher College of Business, we believe business leadership requires a distinct and nuanced set of skills for a business world that is changing at a pace never seen. Our faculty is dedicated to this critical mission and to our responsibility to create ideas, encourage scholarship, and develop leaders who positively impact their communities near and far.

Fisher faculty will be available to interview prospective applicants at the INFORMS annual conference in Phoenix Arizona on October 15th and October 16th. To express an interest for an interview, send a curriculum vitae and a letter of interest describing research and teaching experience (if any) by September 18th. For full consideration, applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, working papers, a summary of teaching evaluations (if available), and three letters of reference by November 15th.
