Michelle Norris
Michelle H. Norris is Senior Vice President of Acquisitions & Development of National Church Residences, Columbus, Ohio. Founded in 1961, NCR is one of the country's leading non-profit organizations specializing in the development, construction and management of over 21,000 units of affordable housing designed to serve the elderly, low-income families and persons with disabilities through federal and state grants, loans and tax-credit programs. NCR's portfolio also includes a continuing care community, assisted living and nursing home properties.
Norris joined National Church Residences in 1993 as Director of Corporate Financial Services. She later became Chief Operating Officer of Housing Management, overseeing the management operations of NCR’s affordable housing portfolio. In her current role as Chief Dev Officer, Norris oversees a team that specializes in development of all NCR’s new products. This includes HUD 202 construction; LIHTC new construction; acquisitions & substantial rehabs.
Norris holds a bachelor's degree from Miami University in Ohio. She holds NAHP-e, SCHM and HCCP certifications. Norris is immediate past President of National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA).
In addition to her work in affordable housing, Norris enjoys long distance running, backpacking, and other outdoor activities. She is also an active member of the Columbus Vineyard Church.
