Edward Hudson

Mr. Hudson is a lifelong management veteran of the nation’s third largest retailer, The Kroger Co., headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He joined the Company in 1979 after graduation, working in the Company’s General Office Real Estate and Law Departments until 1984.  He then managed over the next twenty five years the real estate offices for the Nashville and Columbus Divisions, and for the Company’s Great Lakes Division, formed with the merger of the Columbus and Michigan Divisions, and most recently, the Development Offices in Los Angeles, California, for the Ralphs Grocery Company and Food 4 Less Holdings.  In 2008, he was promoted to the Company’s General Office to work on Acquisitions, Logistics, and Strategic Initiatives for the Company.

Mr. Hudson also actively served on a number of non-profit community Boards of Directors for many years and in various leadership posts with those Boards, including Chairman of the Nashville Area Red Cross during 9/11.  He is a recipient of the BH Kroger Award, Kroger’s most prestigious award recognizing community service and a graduate of Leadership Columbus. 

He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Fisher Graduate School of Business, The Ohio State University.

Mr. Hudson is a Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude graduate of the University of Cincinnati, receiving his BA in 1976 and JD in 1979, and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1979.
