Dawn Harris Jeffries is a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch. She has been with the organization for over 11 years in a variety of front and back office positions. As an advisor, her areas of focus are all aspects of cash, investment, and liability management for mid-size businesses, nonprofit organizations, and targeted municipal activities. She also focuses on retirement and estate planning for business owners and high net worth individuals.
Dawn began her career as a Bank Examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York focusing on U.S. branches for foreign banks and international branches of U.S. banks. She joined Merrill Lynch in 1998 as an Assistant Vice President in the Corporate Audit Division with focus on the Merrill Lynch Fixed Income businesses and products. She was promoted to Vice President in 2000, and moved to Dublin, Ireland where she managed the Audit function at the Merrill Lynch Capital Markets Bank and Merrill Lynch Financial Services Ltd. At the bank her areas of focus were capital markets banking and lending high valued debt derivatives, and operations based in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Upon her return to the U.S. she was promoted to Director and was appointed Global Audit Manager for the Global Principal/Opportunistic Investments and Structured Finance, Investment Banking, and Private Equity Departments headquartered in New York. During that time she also served as the Global Head of the Merrill Lynch Global Research Settlement Project Management Office. Prior to commencement of her role as a financial advisor she served as the Global Head of Product Supervision for the Managed Solutions and Investments Business in the Global Wealth Management Division.
Dawn has been featured in business magazines and publications. She is president of the Spelman College Alumnae Association, Columbus, OH chapter. She is a board member of the YWCA Housing Corporation and the Ohio State University Real Estate Advisory Group in Columbus, OH. And, she serves as a mentor in her church teen mentoring program. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She actively recruits for Merrill Lynch. She volunteers and provides free financial education charitable organizations whenever possible.
