Ann Christy is an associate professor of Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering at the Ohio State University.  She earned both her B.S. in agricultural engineering and M.S. in biomedical engineering at the Ohio State University, and her Ph.D. in environmental engineering at Clemson University.

She worked for a civil engineering consulting firm in New Jersey for almost 4 years before entering academia and continues to collaborate with the engineering consulting industry. She has taught courses in HVAC, bioenergy, biological engineering, waste management, engineering statistics, and capstone design. Ann has been the chair of her department’s academic affairs committee since 2000, overseeing their undergraduate programs in construction systems management, FA&B engineering, and agricultural systems management. She has won multiple teaching awards at the departmental, college, university, and national levels including OSU's Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching.

Her research interests include microbial fuel cells, landfills, environmental fate and transport, and technical education. She leads an extension program called “Barn Again” about the rehabilitation of historic agricultural structures. Ann currently resides in an 1870s dairy barn which she converted into a home. She served as associate dean for undergraduate education and student services in OSU's College of Engineering from 2008-2009. Ann is a licensed professional engineer.
