Education

IMS, in collaboration with the Executive Education Department at Fisher, has worked to develop a number of education initiatives to provide our Member Companies and the general business community with programs that focus on a variety of topics embodied in a service management curriculum.

Certificate in Managing Services

The Certificate in Managing Services was developed to prepare emerging leaders of service businesses and operations. The program is conducted in a series of modules with attendees coming on campus one day per month for seven months.

The seven modules are: Strategy, Leadership, Services Marketing, Service Profit Chain, Lean Service Operations, Financial Systems, and Project Presentations.

Nationwide Marketing University

The program is specific to Nationwide employees who attend courses that are taught by OSU faculty at Nationwide’s facilities. The curriculum includes marketing courses that parallel those offered to graduate students enrolled at The Ohio State University.

Professional Education Programs at Ohio State

Along with supporting Fisher’s award winning Executive Education program, IMS offers education at the professional level through a wide range of open-enrollment and custom courses.

Open enrollment classes can run anywhere from two hours to five weeks and are offered in a variety of specialized areas such as Leadership, Strategy, Strategic Marketing Planning, and Supply Chain Management.
