The Thomas L. Wheeler III Entrepreneurship Enterprise Program

 

The Entrepreneurship Enterprise Program at the Fisher College of Business provides qualified Ohio State University students unique summer internship opportunities to train directly with entrepreneurs and senior leaders of entrepreneurial support organizations.

The program is based on the belief that a comprehensive entrepreneurship education program challenges students to apply their knowledge to entrepreneurial business situations. This program is made possible by the generous donations of Thomas L. Wheeler III.

Placements

Through alliances with several strategic partners in central Ohio, the Wheeler Entrepreneurship Enterprise Program offers internships in the following areas:

  • Corporate Venturing
  • Other Business Related Fields

Summer Internship Program 2012

Overview

Each year, the Wheeler Entrepreneurship Enterprise Program places several top-level graduate and undergraduate students in local entrepreneurial companies to assist with market research, financial planning, business development and other entrepreneurial initiatives. These placements are highly competitive among our students and many are fully funded by the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Fisher College of Business.

Schedule

December 15, 2011 - February 17, 2012
The Center for Entrepreneurship will accept requests for Summer Interns from companies, and applications and resumes from students.

March 16, 2012
Companies will be notified as to whether they have been awarded an internship opportunity.

March 19, 2012 - April 20, 2012
The Center for Entrepreneurship will solicit student interest in each approved position.

April 27, 2012
The Center for Entrepreneurship will notify selected companies of student interest, and forward resumes for review.

April 30, 2012 - May 18, 2012
Interview period - schedules TBD individually by companies and selected students.

June 13, 2012 - August 26, 2012
Approximate internship period.
