The following teams were selected to participate in the Summer 2012 program:
City Jungle
City Jungle’s mission is to foster more meaningful connections in an ever-growing disconnected Chinese society. We use events, both public (e.g. music concerts, art shows, etc.) and private (parties and small meetups), as a vehicle to help young people in China create sincere offline relationships, leveraging existing online social media.
Resition
Resition is a web-based outplacement solution that reduces companies' layoff costs. Laid off employees are matched with their own personal career coaches on our platform & complete a socially driven, milestone-based job search program. The analytics generated from this process enable companies to better manage unemployment insurance taxes, morale among remaining employees, & the administrative time-costs of carrying out a downsizing event.
Umonit
Umonit is a new system that allows users to utilize their pre-existing hardware to monitor their home, directly from a smart-phone, tablet or the Umonit website. With our motion sensing web-camera technology, an alert to a user's device will notify them if any suspicious activity is detected by the system. This is done by harnessing various technologies that are already out on the market and in everyone's homes. With the addition of our cloud-based DVR service, users can also safely store their video footage in a remote location. Every web-cam that is currently and will be available in the near future can be leveraged by the Umonit system.
Sage Crate
SageCrate is a faculty to faculty course sharing service for the management subjects (HR, Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship, Strategy) in higher education. Addressing the dearth of communication channels between faculty across institutions, SageCrate will parse best practices from textbook selections, articles and supplements used and assignments employed helping faculty to discover and integrate the newest and most effective courseware into their classes faster and more efficiently.
UFunded
UFunded is the only crowdfunding platform dedicated to accelerating entrepreneurship within university communities. UFunded leverages the natural connections among students, alumni and faculty enabling entrepreneurs to showcase their product, service or creative vision to an untapped resource of alumni funders and collaborators. Funders contribute money and expertise to entrepreneurs in exchange for unique rewards, products or services that are specified by the entrepreneur.
EndoGoal
Columbus-based diabetes doctor, Dr. Jen Dyer (@EndoGoddess), and Columbus-based mobile software startup, Duet Health, have created the EndoGoal App for both adults and young children with insulin dependent diabetes. The app is part of a turnkey wellness program available to employers for their employees with diabetes. The app aims to make checking glucoses (a vital part of good diabetes control and cost containment) both easier and rewarding. The app provides points for users and their families upon glucose logging that can translate into $ rewards. The app also provides additional rewards in the form of a virtual pet feature that is predicted to lead to improved glucose logging engagement based on appointment dynamic game mechanics theory. Moolango
MooLango is the world's first online marketplace for language practice/maintenance. Two billion people around the world are learning a second language (the same number of people who drink Coca-Cola). Yet after learning the basics, it's notoriously difficult to find easy, affordable, and enjoyable practice with native speakers. MooLango solves this problem by providing financial incentives and by automating conversations around globally loved topics.
Acclaimd

With tackk there is no login required, no hoops to jump through—it’s truly a reinvention of tacking a flyer on a telephone pole. tackk was founded by two designers who wanted to empower everyone with the ability to create a clean, beautiful web presence – instantly.
Rooftop Down
Rooftop Down is the first ever, Customer-Centric Support Platform. This unique platform allows individual users to organize and manage everything they own from the Rooftop Down.
uTap
uTap allows university students a revolutionary way to communicate. Without the need for ‘friending’ or ‘following’, users receive the most timely, relevant, and up-to-date information and deals. LifeScribe is the smartest web-based story creation platform. We make it fun, easy, and social to reminisce aout life’s most important moments. Tailored photo, video, and text prompts help you to start and develop stories and include added flavor from the friends and family who you do life with.
MorphCARD
MorphCARD is a platform where users can store gift cards to use in person via mobile application or online through our website. Users can store gift cards they already own or purchase cards using our marketplace. MorphCARD allows clients to aggregate all of their gift cards to reduce clutter in their wallets and prevent loss or damage.
Zoopshop
ZoopShop provides fashion retailers with portable online stores that can be embedded at any size on Facebook pages, blogs and websites. Fashion retailers can now place instant storefronts at all accessible traffic sources; thereby reaching out to new customers.
One Exchange Street
One Exchange Street is building an online exchange to introduce transparency, real-time price discovery, and seamless trade execution to buyers and sellers of bankruptcy claims.
By aggregating market participants and information in one place, One Exchange Street will enhance the efficiency, and increase the liquidity, of the overall market.
mondokio
mondokio is a website that’s based on the premise you can’t understand an international news story through only one, culturally-specific news source.
The site allows users to communicate cross-culturally, while comparing and contrasting how news sources all over the world cover the SAME TOPICS.

Acceptd
Acceptd is a web-based tool that simplifies the video application process for university programs. Uploading and managing application videos, audition tapes, and highlight films using Acceptd will streamline the process and save time and money for applicants and program directors.
Based out of Cincinnati, Ohio co-founders Derek Brown & Don Hunter both attended the University of Cincinnati.
Flare Code
Flare Code allows individuals and organizations to aggregate all of their digital content into a collection of mobile-optimized widgets that can be accessed quickly and directly by scanning a code. Flare Code allows the community to interact with the code by posting photos and comments to a special section. Flare Code turns objects into digital communities by connecting them with digital context.
Founders Ian Bowman-Henderson, Niklos Salontay, & Anthony Mannira are all undergraduate students at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Funerally
Funerally will connect families in need with funeral homes in their area that meet their specific requirements. More than a listing service, Funerally provides specific information to families that helps streamline their decision-making process.
Funerally co-founders Mike Belsito & Bryan Chaikin are both residents of Cleveland, Ohio.
incrwd
incrwd is a loyalty and analytics platform for websites that rewards users for their online contributions. The platform will give online publishers the ability to reward users with points for visiting a website, commenting, sharing articles, and growing a social network.
Founder Carlos Ramirez attended Duke University.
Kout
Kout is an e-commerce platform aimed at micro merchants, which are sellers who do not need a front-end store. Merchants receive a unique checkout url for each product, which links to a simple checkout page, designed to reduce checkout abandonment and provide a seamless experience for the customer.
Co-founder Devan Koshal has moved from the UK to participate in 10x. Co-founder Hany Rashwan is an undergraduate student at the Ohio State University.
LyoGo LLC
LyoGo LLC was formed to develop and commercialize a novel drug delivery system for lyophilized (freeze dried) drugs. LyoGo provides a safer, easier, more convenient and cost effective method of administering complex biologic drugs.
Co-founder Peter Greco is from Indiana. He received his MBA from Purdue University.
RentersUnleashed
RentersUnleashed is a new online service to revolutionize the rental housing market by aggregating the demand (i.e. potential tenants) and making it easy and affordable for landlords to locate, evaluate, and engage potential tenants.
Co-founders Ryan Hughes and Louis Chien are both residents of Cincinnati, Ohio. Ryan attended the University of Cincinnati, while Louis recently received his MBA from Indiana University.
Rewardster
Rewardster is an automatic rewards platform that links directly to your credit card and provides consumers with targeted loyalty rewards based on spending habits across Rewardster's merchant network.
Co-founders Stephen Gacka & Eric Kerr are both undergraduate students at The Ohio State University.
Xamples
Xamples provides free or low cost samples to consumers who would like to try new products. Xamples charges the companies for launching and introducing their products and, in exchange, helps them to get feedbacks and surveys from the consumers.
Founder Hoa Vu and her teammates Hoang Ngyuen & Anh Pham are all from Vietnam and currently attend various universities across the country.
