The Center is continuing to develop conent focused on best practices, an assessment tool, implementation roadmaps and the overall BPM constellation that will be accessible by member companies, but there are also resources and links provided on this site that are courtesy of Fisher faculty and staff, independent experts, sponsors and others.

Each of the documents, papers and other content are grounded in a commitment to advancing the study and practice of Business Performance Management. Yet there are a diversity of opinions and points of view that speak to the dynamic nature of the field and its practitioners.

A larger point is made as well -- the broad adoption of BPM by enterprises will fuel greater accountability, transparency and ultimately, improved execution.

Fisher believes in the transformative power of BPM

  • With BPM, budgeting is transformed into enterprise planning.

  • The General Ledger transcends accounting to fuel a management reporting system.

  • Spreadsheet ‘what if’ exercises evolve into sophisticated modeling programs.

  • The minimum disclosure required to meet regulations is transformed into the full disclosure that inspires confidence among investors and other stakeholders.
  • Static reports morph into interactive, drill-through dashboards.

  • And reports designed to explain the past are set aside in favor of systems that help leaders anticipate and plan for the future.
