| Biography |
John leads one of Fisher’s Research Centers of Excellence focused on helping global companies execute through optimization of Business Performance Management (BPM). BPM includes the integration of business planning and analysis with technology, organizational change management and process engineering empowering organizations to make insightful decisions and effectively implement those decisions on a global scale.
The Center for BPM’s mission includes delivery of curriculum to develop a new generation of global BPM leaders while integrating industry and academic thought leadership supporting initiatives driven by member companies of the Center. The Center for BPM along with Fisher’s other Research Centers of Excellence (Operations, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Services, Real Estate, Economics and Supply Chain) provide member companies with a vast array of support to help them transform their enterprises and develop their next generation of leaders.
In addition to John’s role leading the Center for BPM, he also oversees Fisher Professional Services (FPS). FPS is a consultancy housed within the Fisher College of Business providing fee-based consulting services to local Columbus companies, The Ohio State University and National clients. FPS is run by 2nd year MBA students with oversight from Industry Experts and Faculty.
FPS Consultants provide a diverse value proposition combining industry and functional experience with FPS specific training that augments their core MBA education. This model allows FPS to provide valuable services at a fraction of the market cost while developing the next generation of business and consulting leaders through hands-on, client focused experience. FPS service lines include the following:
- Business Diagnostics including Process Engineering/Documentation, Cost Analysis and Benchmarking
- Strategic & Operational Planning including driver based modelling and and Rolling Forecast Implementation
- Marketing Strategy including Brand Analysis, Surveys and Program Management

| Biography |
Waleed is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at the Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University, and Academic Director for the Center for Business Performance Management. Hereceived his undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Tulsa, and holds a master’s degree in computer science and doctorate in management information systems from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His current research focuses on IT strategy, assessing the business value of information technology, and understanding the impact of information technology, including the Internet, on organizations and markets. His other research interests include trust and reputation online, e-commerce strategy, model and database management systems, and system performance modeling and evaluation.
Professor Muhanna has published numerous articles in scholarly journals, including Management Science, MIS Quarterly, Strategic Management Journal , Decision Sciences , ACM Transactions on Computer Systems, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, Communications of the ACM, Decision Support Systems, Information & Management, European Journal of Operational Research, Computers in Human Behavior, and the Annals of Operations Research .
Dr. Muhanna teaching and consulting activities span a number of areas, with particular emphasis on e-commerce, data management and mining, and information systems strategy. He recently served as the Director of the Ph.D. Program in Accounting & MIS. He is the past Vice-Chair of INFORMS' Information Systems Society and currently serves on the editorial boards of leading academic journals, including Management Science , Information Systems Research, Decision Sciences , and Information Technology and Management .

Professor Dietrich joined Fisher after serving as Academic Fellow in the Security and Exchange Commission’s Office of the Chief Accountant. Previously, he was the Deloitte & Touche Professor of Accountancy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Professor of Accounting and the Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. Centennial Faculty Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin. He also served as visiting professor at both Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Chicago. Dietrich’s research has been published in numerous professional journals and he is a frequent presenter at professional conferences.

Professor Wruck conducts research and teaches in the fields of corporate finance, organizational economics and financial economics.
A recognized expert in her field, Wruck has published numerous articles in leading academic journals. In addition, her work and opinions have been highlighted in business periodicals, including The Economist, Fortune and CFO Magazine. She has also developed highly successful courses for both MBA students and executives.
Before joining the faculty at the Fisher College, Wruck served on the faculty of the Harvard Business School.

| Biography |
Jeff Rodek is a part time faculty member at the Fisher College of Business as well as a senior advisor with Accretive LLC, a New York based private equity firm. Rodek joined the faculty of The Ohio State University in July, 2007. Prior to Hyperion’s sale to Oracle in April, 2007, Jeff was the Executive Chairman of the Board and former CEO of Hyperion Solutions, Inc., the global leader in Business Performance Management software and a company named in 2004 as a Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For and listed on the Forbes 200 Best Small Companies.
Rodek served as Chairman and CEO of Hyperion from October 1999 to July 2004. Under his leadership, the company experienced a tremendous turnaround. The final three years were especially noteworthy as a result of the consistent quarterly improvement in numerous measures, including margin and earnings per share. Over the course of his tenure, Hyperion increased customer count by fifty percent.
Rodek is a recognized expert and speaker on business performance and related topics, including corporate governance and leadership.
Prior to Hyperion, Rodek served as President and COO of Ingram Micro, the world’s largest wholesale provider of technology solutions, products and services. Before that, Rodek spent 16 years at FedEx, beginning in Operations Research and rising to the position of Senior Vice President, Americas.
Rodek serves on the Board of Directors of Accelrys, Inc., a San Diego based public software company that develops and commercializes scientific business intelligence software and Axiant, LLC. He previously was a board member of Hyperion Solutions, Corporate Software, EXE Technology, and Accretive Commerce in addition to multiple Not-for-Profit organizations.
