Designing and managing talent processes that engage, retain, develop and attract top talent is a passion of mine. In my current role as the Chief Talent Officer at Huntington National Bank; an organization with $200B in assets and over 21,000 colleagues, I have the privilege of leading a team that executes our talent acquisition, talent development, talent planning, performance engagement and university relations strategies for the enterprise. My team and I are also responsible for the diversity, equity and inclusion strategy designed to accelerate the development and advancement of our diverse colleagues in support of our Social Equity Colleague Plan.
Previously, I served as the Chief People Officer for Navigator Management Partners, a technology & management consulting firm, and in the HR & Sales disciplines for Marriott International and Arthur Andersen.
My experience extends to all aspects of Human Resources including: Human Resource Strategy, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development, Learning and Development and Performance Management. I was fortunate to help contribute to Navigator’s recognition as a Best Place to Work and for being one of the fastest growing companies in America, evidenced by award wins on the Fast 50 list (since 2006), Inc. 5000 (nine year honoree), Best Company to Work for in America by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Entrepreneur Magazine, The Great Place to Work Institute, and Fortune Magazine.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communications from Ohio University, a Management Certificate in Human Resources: Selection & Staffing from The School of Industrial & Labor Relations at Cornell University, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, Prosci Change Management certification and the Crucial Conversations Training Facilitator certification. In 2015 I received The HR Executive of the Year Award by Columbus CEO magazine and in 2019 the HR Team Excellence Award by Columbus CEO magazine. I am a school board member for United Schools Network, a local nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives and communities through the power of education and on the Board and as the HR Committee Chair for another non-profit, I Know I Can.
