Host, Ben Tepper:
“Is there something that struck you that just doesn't seem consistent with what you've learned over the years, but that [executives] strongly believe that you have to somehow do something about...?"

Dr. Laura Little:
“I think less than like a myth per se, it's more like...an external frame where they...focus on the problem instead of possible solutions. So, they don't think that they can make a difference, right?...a lot of times my execs are like the middle managers sometimes, you know, or if it's the CEO, it's like the CEO and then the top management team. And I would say anybody besides the CEO seems to think that like, 'well, I'm just doing what I'm told, you know?' and...'I don't know that I can make a difference'.

And so, trying to really counter that...you are a vital member of this team and that you can make a difference...I think they're very, very outward focused and on everybody else and what everybody else is doing. And like a little bit more inward focuses can be helpful.”
