Mark Cappone, Col.
Colonel Mark Cappone (U.S. Army, Retired) is a Senior Executive in Residence at Ohio University’s Voinovich Academy for Excellence in Public Service where he is responsible for delivery of customized leadership development and other executive education programs for local governments and other public service organizations in Appalachia Ohio. Mark also teaches leadership and management courses for the FCOB Summer Dean’s Leadership Academy, the Voinovich Academy, and Franklin University. His past leadership roles include assistant director of the Ohio Department of Veterans Services as well as numerous assignments during his military career, which culminated as commander of the 371st Sustainment Brigade and chief of staff for the Ohio Army National Guard. Mark holds a master’s degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College, a master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College.
