Klodiana Lanaj
Klodiana Lanaj is a professor and the Martin L. Schaffel Professor in the Management Department of the Warrington College of Business at University of Florida. She received a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Michigan State University in 2013. Prior to graduate school, Klodiana worked for a large European bank as a project manager of risk and as a credit analyst for small and medium enterprises.
Klodiana’s main areas of research are leadership, team processes and performance, and motivation and self-regulation. Specifically, her current research investigates leader engagement and wellbeing, leader emergence and over-emergence in self-managing teams, individual and team-level factors that contribute to team performance, and daily behaviors and interactions that deplete and replenish employee affective and cognitive resources at work. Her research in these areas has been published in outlets such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personnel Psychology, and Psychological Bulletin.
Klodiana served as an Associate Editor at the Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes journal from 2021- 3/2024. She currently serves on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Personnel Psychology.
