Being sick during finals week is every students’ worst nightmare, but with the support from professors and classmates, you can get through it!

As the second quarter has wrapped up, my CPA journey has as well. I started studying for the CPA in end of May/beginning of June of this year and I am so happy to say that I was able to finish them all before 2022. That was a goal of mine, to leave the CPA in 2021. I took REG, FAR, AUD, and finished with BEC. I recommend this order because REG is a healthy mix of both conceptual and mathematical questions, whereas FAR is mainly all math and AUD is all conceptual. BEC is its own thing, but I felt this order was very beneficial to me.

One of the most interesting parts of the Specialized Master in Finance program so far has been the Core Capstone Project that all SMF students complete in their second session at OSU. Since I just wrapped it up, I thought it would be good to share my experience with this project.

Jumping into a one year graduate program carries the potential to become quite overwhelming with fast paced classes and adjusting to higher level coursework. However, Fisher makes this transition seamless for students! Every accounting majors know of the CPA exam. The daunting task of completing four less than fun exams within a set time period. It's something your work requires, and no one looks forward to it. For those of you who don't know much about the CPA exam, it stands for Certified Public Accountant and is a four part exam one must take in order to become a CPA.

Every year the MHRM students participate in an internal case competition that places students knowledge to the test by presenting the teams with a problem an actual organization is facing, and giving them 24 hours to research, cultivate, and deliver a solution to a panel of judges.
