While the show featured unforgettable music, it also offered surprising lessons that connect to concepts I’ve learned in business school at Fisher College of Business.
How do we tie it all together? As a Fisher MBA student, I began my journey alongside experienced and accomplished classmates from all walks of life. Our cohort includes PhDs in engineering, successful entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders from a variety of industries across the world. This dynamic learning environment tests our abilities to devise impactful solutions for both traditional and newly emerging business challenges.
Fisher’s focus on real-world learning shines through its unique Career Academies, which emphasize hands-on, experiential education. Our MBA Class of 2026 recently engaged in a Nestlé excursion featuring mini-case presentations and executive insights, started by an Alumni Mixer in Cleveland. These immersive Career Academy experiences develop industry perspectives and foster connections, preparing us to lead with agility and confidence in our careers.

When I told my boss that I will be applying for an MBA, he questioned me: “Why an MBA? What do you expect to gain out of it?”
This was my fifth year in the organization, and I was doing quite well in my role. At this point, I was working directly with the top leaders in my organization and had some great career opportunities coming ahead. The question really was about what would this degree offer beyond my career trajectory?
I embarked on a journey to the Fisher College of Business with excitement and a hint of nervousness. I carried hopes, dreams, and a desire to conquer what I knew would be a daunting challenge—earning my MBA. I was well aware of the academic rigor, but the personal and professional growth opportunities that awaited me were equally thrilling and, as I would come to realize, transformative.
As I step back onto campus, the humid New Jersey air still clinging to my memories, I can't help but feel a sense of transformation. As part of my Full-Time MBA program this summer, I embarked on an internship that would challenge, inspire, and ultimately reshape my professional trajectory.
