This blog entry is three weeks delayed. I flew back to New York City right after my last final on Dec 10th. I took a five-day road trip by buses and trains to a couple of cities on the east coast to meet friends and family friends (excuse me for a little redundancy in the sentence). Then the other two weeks delayed were spent on meeting family and friends in the city.

This was the first Thanksgiving that I didn’t spend with my family since I came to the US (four years ago). It did not make me too sad though as this holiday has not been a tradition in my family, and I knew a bigger time was awaiting for me to spend with my family—the winter break and Christmas!I was grateful to have this long weekend though. I baked a pie and cooked a meal with chicken (no turkey, too much for me), enjoying a real day-off considering its scarcity. Spending the time alone gave me time to think of many people who I miss and I would like to thank.

“I look at my schedule for the week, a presentation, a research case due, a quiz. Definitely no time for a “formal” workout before the Fisher Winter Games. What if I play the “MBA beast” Mike Hrostoski (sorry Mike, you sound really scary), and what if Prof. Inks aims the dodgeball at me? No, no, I should really squeeze sometime to at least warm myself up for the Winter Game.”The above was what I put down (but not posted) before the Fisher Winter Games held on last Friday.

Last Tuesday I was working with my teammates till very late to prepare for a presentation on Wednesday. Around 11pm, two of my classmates from the MAcc program walked into the student lounge. I was too busy to chat so instead briefly greeted them. It seemed to me they had been studying and were taking a break before they went back to study.About 11:30pm when my group was about to leave, I stepped out of the lounge, running to the restroom. Three familiar voices chatting I heard in the hallway.

Recall that I have been working on a logistic management team and we have a company competing in the “set-top box” industry, in the M&L 880 simulated system. I called the company we have “Neo-Com” as it was like a new-born baby of our team. Here are some updates of our “Neo-Com”. (Visit https://fisher.osu.edu/blogs/gradlife/2009/10/13/my-%E2%80%9Cneo-com%E2%80%9D/ for my previous blog entry about "Neo-Com".)The firm has grown up and is doing well. Six months under our care have turned this “baby” into a healthy handsome gentleman.
