Well folks, after submitting my resume to more than 30 businesses, and a lot of interviews, I still don't have an internship, but...I was offered a Graduate Administrative Associate position with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering! This was quite exciting news this morning! I'm very, very excited about this opportunity. I'll be working with the undergraduate and graduate academic advisers and developing recruiting events and coordinating visits with potential students. I think recruiting will be very interesting.

Well yesterday was quite eventful on campus. Two Bulls got loose from the vet hospital. And yes, I emphasize the word bull because they were in fact bulls, NOT cows. Quick agriculture lesson for those who may not have grown up on a farm. Bulls are in-tact male cattle and cows are female cattle who have calved. Heifers are females who have not calved, and steers are males who are no longer in-tact. Anyway, it created quite the stir across campus, and after one bull jumped on a police car, both were contained and taken back to the vet hospital.

Well, sorry for the delayed/overdue post. It's been a really busy week. Nevertheless, here I am, writing a blog about my life.Last week was the start of everything getting really busy. We have three group projects this quarter, and from what the second years were saying, our Compensation project is the hardest of everything. Awesome! (sarcastic) It's just going to be really busy. I think this quarter is the one where I'm going to learn the most applicable skills.

It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring. I knew the amazing weather wouldn't last long - I've lived in Ohio my entire life, changing weather is Ohio's trademark. Hopefully the weather shapes up for my first bridal shower this weekend! Sad news today though - I misread my indoor/outdoor thermometer, and thought it said 68 degrees for the outside temperature instead of 50, so I'm just wearing a longsleeve t-shirt, with no coat, and it's definitely a little too chilly for that.

Today, I decided I would highlight two things which, in their own respect, are small relative to their counterparts. The first is the town of Etna. Etna is approximately 25 miles east of Columbus, just north of I-70. It's so small, they don't even have a town website. The surrounding township, Etna Township, has a population of 5,000, but the town itself is only about 7 blocks square. Etna is the town just west (about 5 miles) of Kirkersville, where I grew up. Both are about the same size, and Kirkersville's population is just over 500.
