This Memorial Day weekend has unfortunately been spent studying for finals instead of hanging out with friends and family, drinking beer, and grilling burgers.  The weather has been amazing and I have at least enjoyed studying on a blanket on my grassy knoll that I suppose you could call a backyard.  Enough whining, I'd rather focus on what Memorial Day is really about.Memorial Day is a day for remembrance for those who have died in our nation’s service.  Although my grandfather did not die in service I always think of him on this weekend each year.  During WWII he wa

Yes, I have been a huge slacker on the blogger front, but I don’t feel too guilty about it since I haven’t been a slacker when it comes to work and school.  Life it all about priorities and recently, my blog has not been one of them.A couple of weeks ago a group of MLHR students went out to Summit Vision for the day.  This is the second time I have been and it really is a fun experience.  I’m excited that the MLHR program is trying to arrange to have the first years next year get the Summit Vision experience during orientation and that they are considering havi

I absolutely love my internship.  I work with amazing people and I have already learned so much.  I work at GE in Circleville as an HR intern.  I love my dorky safety glasses that I wear through the plant and all of the employees are so friendly.  I honestly wasn’t sure how I would feel about driving 50 minutes to and from work 3 times a week, but the drive doesn’t bother me at all.  It is actually nice to cruise down 23 with my window down and my music blasting.  It is also pretty much the only time I’m not stressing about studying because I can

So, my roommate brought it up to me that I never really talk about school in my blogs.  I know this is true and should probably try to talk about school a little more.  I guess I don't talk about school much because I'm already bombarded with school stuff at all times unless I am at work.  I do love this quarter though.  My classes are really interesting and I'm excited that they appear to be a lot of work.  I'm assuming it sounds strange to most people that I'm excited about having my classes be more work, but I work better when I have a million things to do.Tomorrow
