A SMF Life Snapshot: Beyond Bloomberg and Financial Modeling
Hi everyone!
As we approach the end of session 1, the vibe here at Fisher is a mix of academic challenges and excitement - multiple deadlines, the Bloomberg 401k analysis project, Portfolio Management tests, leadership simulations, ECom reports, etc. But there's always time to relax. As I see it, "time spent connecting and enjoying with others is never misspent." So, let's take a look at how we, as SMF students, strike a balance between our academic and leisure life.
Paintball Day ?
Picture this: 20 SMF students momentarily stepping away from their academic pursuits, sporting paintball masks, and dividing into teams for an intense and thrilling paintball battle. A memory we'll treasure for years to come!
Thanks to my friend Adam Kadro - SMF Council, we ended up at Splatterpark Paintball for an epic day out, helping us relax and get to know our classmates better, especially those we hadn't connected with much yet.
Culinary Adventures ?
After our paintball adventure, we were starving and our friend Dhairya Patel suggested trying Indian food. It was a hit! We tried delicious dishes like Paneer Bhurji Dosa wrap, Chole Bhature, Paneer Paratha, and Pav Bhaji. If you're ever in Columbus, Neehee's is a must-visit for fantastic flavors and new culinary experiences.
Buckeye Spirit ?
No weekend gathering would be complete without The Ohio State football experience. We all came together to watch our Buckeyes play against Notre Dame, and the excitement was tangible. The game had us on the edge of our seats, and it was a nail-biter until the very end when our Buckeyes secured a thrilling 17-14 victory, capping off our memorable weekend!
In the upcoming weeks, I'll be sharing more content, tips, recommendations on places to explore in Columbus, Saturday football game experiences, my job-seeking process, conference attendance, and much more. So, stay tuned!
