Memorial Day Weekend

This Memorial Day weekend has unfortunately been spent studying for finals instead of hanging out with friends and family, drinking beer, and grilling burgers.  The weather has been amazing and I have at least enjoyed studying on a blanket on my grassy knoll that I suppose you could call a backyard.  Enough whining, I'd rather focus on what Memorial Day is really about.

Memorial Day is a day for remembrance for those who have died in our nation’s service.  Although my grandfather did not die in service I always think of him on this weekend each year.  During WWII he was actually considered too old to fly in combat  in 1942 at the age of 25.  He could have flown bombers but he loved flying the P51 so he elected to stay stateside and train future aces.  He loved scaring people in airplanes into his 70's.  July 28, 1916 – November 11, 1993.  (my brother actually wrote this, but he won’t mind that I stole it.)

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY AND GOOD LUCK ON FINALS!
