Is it summer yet?

Yes, I have been a huge slacker on the blogger front, but I don’t feel too guilty about it since I haven’t been a slacker when it comes to work and school.  Life it all about priorities and recently, my blog has not been one of them.

A couple of weeks ago a group of MLHR students went out to Summit Vision for the day.  This is the second time I have been and it really is a fun experience.  I’m excited that the MLHR program is trying to arrange to have the first years next year get the Summit Vision experience during orientation and that they are considering having some second year MLHR students facilitate the activities.  I think it will be a great way to help make the first year students comfortable with the second year students and more comfortable with asking us questions.  I know when I started this program in September I was clueless and extremely nervous that I was going to miss a step.  Thank goodness for Lauren Griffith.  She was absolutely the most helpful and friendly second year that I came in contact with those first few scary weeks.  I hope that I can be one of those second year students that helps make the transition to grad school a little less scary too.

It is weird to think that I am already almost a second year student.  Before I know it grad school will be over.  I will be sad when it is over, but this quarter has really been kicking my butt and I am ready for a break.  Thank goodness summer is right around the corner!
