What to do in Columbus during the fall season?

The city of Columbus has so many different activities and events to share throughout the whole year. However, due to its convenient location in the Midwest, the fall season is one of the best times to have fun around Columbus. Not only because of the city’s cozy weather, colorful trees, and bonfire aroma, but mainly for its community vibe.

Here are some of my personal favorites:

  • Columbus Coffee Festival

At this event, you can enjoy tastings from diverse local coffee shops and roasters while navigating different pastries, food trucks, and miscellaneous merchandise. The venue is also worth admiring because the event takes part at the Ohio Village, which is a venue that depicts an Ohioan village from the 19th century. It is important to mention that this event is not exclusive to coffee lovers because I, as a non-coffee drinker, have enjoyed tasting a wide variety of teas and some of my favorite pies in the area.

  • Apple Picking

This family favorite is a must during the fall season. Around the Central Ohio area, there are many orchards where you can pick the best-looking apples while enjoying a stroll with friends and family. This is an amazing opportunity to make the best of the sweater weather and take very Instagrammable pics with breathtaking scenery in the back. Do not forget that you will be allowed to eat as many apples as you can during your apple-picking getaway, and do not leave without getting home some of their spectacular products such as cider, pies, and jams.

Though there are many places to go apple picking, I recommend Lynd Fruit Farm. Learn more here: https://lyndfruitfarm.com/

  • Pumpkins Aglow

Looking forward to Halloween? Then, you cannot miss the Pumpkins Aglow experience at the Franklin Park Conservatory from October 11th to 29th. During this time, the botanical gardens will be lit (figuratively and literally) in celebration of the spooky season. This is a family event that happens at night so that attendants can enjoy the lights that come out of carved pumpkins. There will also be live entertainment, food, crafts, and more!
