With our final presentation looming back in Columbus on Tuesday, today is the last day in Vancouver for Team Canada. Three of the teammates are taking the red eye home tonight, so last night was our official final evening together as a team. We spent a few hours sitting on our rooftop balcony, enjoying some "Canadian" delicacies - inexpensive wine from California, sushi from our favorite sushi place, chocolate-covered almonds from 7-11, and leftover banana bread from the local coffee shop, Tim Hortons. After finishing the final draft of our project (Phew!!), Team Canada was really looking forward to having our first outdoor fun experience in Vancouver - The Capilano Suspension Bridge Park! The park is a rainforest and has a collection of adventure spots including the Capilano bridge, treetop suspension bridges, and a walkway bridge clinging to the Capilano canyon. We started off with walking on Capilano Suspension Bridge which is 450 feet across and 230 feet above the Capilano River.
With our deadline to wrap up our project coming soon, we all had our caffeine fix and started working around the clock. We were trapped in snow in Calgary, which was the perfect chance to coordinate and deliver our first draft to the client.
Team Canada has been cranking out some serious work of late, including all but locking ourselves in the house our last two days in Calgary. This follows a productive five days in Ottawa filled with meetings. Today we needed to get out of the house. The weather was supposed to be okay, and turned out to be beautiful, considering just two nights ago it snowed in Calgary! This was a fortunate turn of events for our trip to Banff National Park, including Lake Louise and Banff (the town).
