How are you honoring and celebrating Black History month in your organization?
“Since its inception, Black History Month has never been just a celebration of black America’s achievements and stories—it’s part of a deliberate political strategy to be recognized as equal citizens.”
–Dr. Theodore R. Johnson
As professionals in the operational excellence community, it is up to us to commit to setting the standing of how to eradicate discrimination and bias in our workplaces. Recognizing and celebrating team members’ racial and cultural backgrounds is one step in doing so. Education is another vital piece in this journey. We hope you will be able to attend/view one or all of these sessions.
We, at COE, are proud to be part of The Ohio State University’s commitment to racial justice. For more information on Ohio State’s Task Force on Racism and Racial Inequities, research funding, initiatives, and Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
