Starting a New School Year

Hi everyone!

I am Keegan O'Neill, a graduate student ambassador, and fourth year BSBA/MAcc student at Ohio State.  Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, I always had an affinity towards the Buckeyes and enjoyed watching their football games (more entertaining that the Browns!).

I chose to come to Ohio State because it was clear to me that Fisher would allow me access to numerous opportunities to find the career I am most passionate about, and give me a great network as well. Ohio State is a school where everyone would move mountains to help you succeed, you just have to put in the time and effort to get started.

That being said, I am very excited to get another school year started! Ohio State offers numerous benefits besides the academic support. For example, the RPAC (recreation physical activity center) is always a great way to take a mental break after spending the morning in classes. In addition, football season is back! This weekend we open our season against Youngstown State in the Shoe, and if you have never been to an OSU football game, I promise it is worth it to go at least once.

Starting a new school year presents several new challenges: a new schedule, new classes, new professors, and a new routine throughout the day. It is important to make sure to focus on academics as much as possible, and do some fun things on the weekends. I included an image from the floor of the Schottenstein Center, Ohio State's basketball arena. The MAcc offers great networking opportunities and ways to get away from your academics to make us more well rounded students!

Wrapping up, I am looking forward to sharing my experiences with everyone over the next 8-9 months! If I can ever be a resource or answer any questions feel free to reach out!
