Nonprofit Involvement and Opportunities

In my final semester as a full-time MBA student at the Fisher College of Business, I continue to be surprised by the number of opportunities we have to work on real-world projects in and out of the classroom. In addition to Social Impact and Business Lab classes, there are other electives you can take to continue working with nonprofits on MBA-level projects like marketing plans, financial audits, data analysis, and other consulting work.

This semester, I am part of the LEAP elective course, which is similar to Social Impact and utilizes Agile methodology. I am also part of Fisher Serves and Fisher Board Fellows, which are student organizations building further relationships with nonprofits through consulting work, board involvement, and volunteer events. This nonprofit involvement has been my favorite part of the MBA program and has been a wonderful way to feel connected to the greater Columbus community even as the pandemic and COVID restrictions have continued.

If you would like to hear more about my experiences with nonprofits, feel free to connect with me through Fisher's Graduate Programs Office at 614-292-8511 or fishergrad@fisher.osu.edu.
