The CIO of the Future:  Trends Shaping the World of IT - December 4, 2012

We live in a world of causes and effects.  Just as a farmer cannot simply plant a seed and expect it to grow, or just as a manufacturer cannot simply fabricate something and expect it to sell, a CIO cannot just design, develop and deploy systems and expect them to automatically add value and/or be transformational.  In each case contributing environmental factors must first be assessed, analyzed and understood regarding their impact.  As we often hear, “Some assembly is required”.

In this must-attend session, leading IT practitioners will describe the extraordinary trends that are shaping the world of IT.  They will also further detail what they are personally doing (or have done) in preparing for those impacts and opportunities.  As we prepare for yet another calendar boundary, the timing could not be better.

Join us in a provocative gathering designed to explore how today’s influencing trends are shaping the future of the IT organization and its leadership.  Nationally known executives will describe their successes, with all being done to help attendees better assure IT’s responsibility within their respective enterprises and in the global economy.

The “CIO Breakfast Gallery” (part of the nationally acclaimed “CIO Solutions Gallery” series) is an ongoing forum where senior IT leaders and their peer officers come together in a comfortable setting to share their experiences and insights, as well as collectively and collaboratively attack common issues.

Uniquely organized around “peer learning”, this provocative program has received high praise among participating CIOs and other senior executives in the technology and/or operations leadership community.   It helps to build an improved and creative personal network of peers and executives devoted to sharing best practices, renewing their skills on an ongoing basis, and raising the level of technical “literacy” and effectiveness within their organizations.

There is no cost to invited senior leaders.  Sponsoring opportunities are available for invited technology product and service providers.
