The MBA Specialization in Technology Entrepreneurship (TES) offers student-entrepreneurs an opportunity to earn an MBA from one of the nation’s top business schools while launching a technology-based venture. Take our MBA core courses in commercialization, and a variety of interdisciplinary electives that are available at Fisher and across campus. The Venture Lab, a hands-on proof of concept accelerator, provides a unique opportunity for students to formulate their startup strategy and prepare to launch by the summer of their second year.

FIRST YEAR:

  • 24 Hrs. MBA Core Courses
  • 3-6 hrs. Specialization Courses

SECOND YEAR:

  • 6-12 hrs. Venture Lab
  • 3-6 hrs. Specialization Electives
  • 2-18 hrs. MBA Electives

SUMMER:

  • Venture Launch

Program Highlights:

  • Up to Five Fully Funded Scholarships: Students can apply to secure a fully funded MBA scholarship for pursuing this specialization.
  • Field Experiences: Gain access to funded internship opportunities with startup companies, meet with the world’s top venture capitalists in the annual Silicon Valley tour and compete in campus-wide and community entrepreneurial competitions, startup weekends and discovery workshops for hands-on, real-world learning.
  • Interdisciplinary Course Offerings: Attend courses in engineering, biotech or law to help develop your entrepreneurial mindset and vet your opportunity.
  • Startup Resources: Gain access to technology assets (IP), executive mentors, lab and office space, proof-of-concept funding and startup capital to help launch your venture.
  • New Venture Showcase: Connect with mentors, angel funds, VC firms, and corporations with strong strategic interest.

Acceptance into the MBA Tech Entrepreneurship Specialization requires our secondary, specialized application (below) when applying to the Fisher MBA program. Make sure you have submitted both applications, one for this specialization, and one for the Full-Time MBA program. The Langdale Academy

The Langdale Academy in Technology Entrepreneurship is named after Ohio entrepreneur and venture capitalist Richard S. Langdale. Since its inception, the Academy has educated over 700 students and faculty researchers in technology entrepreneurship, leading to more than 50 technology startups and helping to raise over $40 million in funds for these ventures. The new MBA Specialization combines OSU’s ranked MBA coursework with the successful experiential programs of the Langdale Academy.
