The Fisher College of Business Office of Career Management has developed Fisher Futures, a unique and innovative program to aid you as a top finance student at Fisher in attaining experience in the investment banking industry. While the application process is lengthy and selective, we invite you to apply to become a member of the distinguished Fisher Futures program.

Information Sessions
Information Sessions last 30 minutes and are held in the Office of Career Management in Gerlach Hall.  The sessions offer you the opportunity to learn more about investment banking, the Fisher Futures program and the application process.

    Program and Requirements

    Once selected to join Fisher Futures, you will receive individual coaching preparing you to compete for a summer internship and thus be well positioned to secure a full-time career position in the investment banking industry upon graduation.

    Requirements:

    • You must be admitted as a Business Major with a Specialization in Finance and/or Accounting by Fall 2018
    • You must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA
    • You must be available for a summer internship in 2020 (May - August)
    • You must be planning to graduate by May 2021

     

    If you are accepted into Fisher Futures, you will:

    • Compete for a Summer 2020 internship in the investment banking industry
    • Participate in a Spring Semester class to prepare for interviews in investment banking as well as to gain an understanding of the industry
    • Train in financial modeling with Wall Street Prep
    • Take part in trips to New York City and Chicago to visit investment banks and network with Fisher alumni in the industry.
    • Be featured on the Career Management Web site, including your resume, bio and photo

      Brett Bakies is a junior at The Ohio State University pursuing a degree in Finance and Economics with Honors Research Distinction. He is currently a member of the Business Analytics Immersion Program, and the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program. Outside of class he is an executive member of the Undergraduate Finance Association, currently acting as Vice President of Corporate Relations.

      Brett spent time his sophomore year working for Ikove Venture Partners, a venture capital and start-up nursery firm in Columbus, OH. While there, he was responsible for performing data analysis and business development functions with the firm’s portfolio company Cognovi Labs. Following his sophomore year, Brett interned at DHL Supply Chain, a contract logistics company in Columbus, OH. In a Corporate Finance role, he was responsible for month-end profit and loss reporting for two facilities, investment modeling, and other ad hoc work.

      Austin Baun is a junior at The Ohio State University pursuing a degree in Finance. He is currently a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program. Outside of class he is the Vice President of the Risk Management Association and member of Buckeye Capital Investors, a student lead investment club.

      Following is sophomore year, Austin became certified in financial modeling in valuation through Wall Street Prep and received his Bloomberg Market Concepts certification. He also participated in the annual William Blaire case competition, giving teams exposure to a sell side M&A deal where they are responsible for creating a pitch book. He is currently pursuing an internship in sales & trading for the summer of 2018.

      Andy Burpee is a junior from Worthington, Ohio.  He attends the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University, where he is pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and a minor in Economics. He is a current member of Scarlet and Gray Financial, which provides peer to peer financial wellness coaching; Buckeye Capital Investors, Ohio State’s foremost investing club; Fisher Real Estate Society, and Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. As a sophomore, Andy was admitted into the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, a highly-competitive, faculty-selected program that exposes students to financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation.

      In the summer of 2016 and into the school year, Andy interned at Clark-Guy & Associates, a local wealth management firm advising high net-worth individuals. Beginning in early 2017, he has interned in the public finance group of Ross, Sinclaire & Associates, a full-service investment banking, securities brokerage and asset management firm. Outside of the classroom and work, Andy enjoys golfing, skiing, strumming guitar, and playing and watching sports.

      Trent Glasser is a junior from Avon Lake, Ohio studying Finance and minoring in economics. He is currently a part of the Honors Cohort Program and the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program. Also, he is in the Coed business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi where he was the pledge class president for the spring of 2017. Outside of Fisher, Trent participates in RallyCap Sports, a program that focuses on teaching children with special needs how to play sports.

      Trent’s sophomore year, he spent his time at Huntington National Bank at their headquarters in downtown Columbus. He was a part of their Private Bank rotational program where he had the opportunity to be exposed to high net worth clients as well as pitch to the Private Bank Leadership team on his intern project. Besides his professional career, Trent completed his first full marathon and plans to travel to Europe over winter break.

      Andrew Heinrich is from a Metropolitan Detroit suburb, Wixom, Michigan. After earning his High-School diploma he decided to serve his country and enlisted into the United States Marine Corps for 5 years working in organizational maintenance on the AV8BB Harriers. During his service, he discovered a passion for finance which ultimately led him to The Ohio State University. Andrew is currently a junior in the Fisher College of Business pursuing a BSBA in Finance and Real estate. As a sophomore, he applied and was admitted to the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, Buckeye Capital Investors, and he became certified in the online financial modeling and valuation course, Wall Street Prep.

      This past summer Andrew interned at Copper Run Capital, LLC. as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. He worked providing M&A advisory services with firms and was involved in business valuation, pitchbook formatting and presentations, and general database tasks. Outside of class Andrew is a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity and enjoys working-out, watching movies, riding motorcycles, traveling, and scuba diving.

      Zach is a junior in the Fisher College of Business double specializing in Finance and Economics. He is originally from Washington Court House, Ohio. As a member of Fisher Futures he has been certified in Wall Street Prep, a financial modeling and valuation course. During the summer of 2017, Zach completed an internship with Brown Gibbons Lang & Company, a middle market investment bank focused on sell-side advisory.

      At Ohio State, Zach is a member of the 21st Honors Cohort, Fisher College’s flagship two-year academic program focused on leadership, service, interpersonal skills and critical thinking through experiential learning. Additionally, Zach serves as the Vice President of Technology, Media, and Telecommunications for Buckeye Capital Investors, Media Chairman for Sigma Phi Epsilon, Client Experience Chairman for the nationally recognized Scarlet and Gray Financial Coaching Program, and a Mentor in the newly founded Ohio State Investment Banking Program. Previously, Zach was appointed by faculty to the Undergraduate Business Council, serving as a Class Representative for the Fisher College of Business.

In addition to being a part the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, he is a member of the Ohio State track and cross country teams, competing year round and having earned scholar-athlete distinction. Luke also serves as the representative for the cross country team to the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

      This past summer and school year, Luke was a wealth management intern at Morgan Stanley where he researched investment opportunities and prepared client reports. The summer before that, he interned with the Ohio State Athletic Department, where he developed and gave a pitch for a student-run maker space on campus.

      Margaret is a junior at the Ohio State University pursuing a degree in Finance with a minor in Engineering Science. She is a currently a member of the Integrated Business and Engineering Honors Cohort Program which is focused on strengthening the link between the business and engineering disciplines and the ability to enact inter-disciplinary approaches to problem solving in modern business. Margaret is also involved with Buckeye Capital Investors and is a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program.

      This past summer, Margaret interned with Morgan Stanley in their New York Office doing Fixed Income Sales and Trading. She was responsible for generating new trade and investment ideas for sales to pitch to institutional clients as well as provided traders with market research and analysis. She rotated through Foreign Exchange Sales, Wealth Management Sales and Content as well as Securitized Products Agency MBS Trading. Outside of Fisher, Margaret is the Treasurer of Ohio Staters, Incorporated, a non-profit organization that executes projects to benefits the traditions and welfare of Ohio State.

      Mason is a third-year finance student pursuing a degree in finance with a minor in Spanish. He is currently a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program. Outside of class, Mason is an active member in Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity, where he serves as the Professional Director. Additionally, Mason is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and is responsible for organizing mental health, personal and professional development programs for its membership. Finally, he is an Associate in Buckeye Capital Investors, a student investment club on campus.

      Mason spent the summer after his sophomore year at EY in Washington D.C. as an Advisory intern. While there he worked on financial services engagement and led certain project responsibilities including updating a sub-ledger implementation timeline, summarizing budget information, preparing monthly invoices, and arranging meeting decks. When he’s not focused on school or his career, Mason enjoys cheering on the Buckeyes in wrestling and football, attending live music performances, and writing original songs on guitar and drums.

      Benjamin Pierce is a Junior from Dayton, Ohio pursuing a double major in finance and accounting from the Fisher College of Business. He is also a member of the Honors Accounting Program, which offers challenging coursework that facilitates the development of critical analytical and communication skills. As a sophomore, Benjamin was admitted into the selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and is certified in financial and valuation modeling through Wall Street Prep.

      Outside of class, Benjamin is involved in the social fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi, where he served as Risk Manager. Additionally, he was involved in the Cardinal Health Peer Mentorship Program and EY Signature Series Cohort.

      In the summer of 2016, Benjamin interned at The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, a leading sales organization that services car dealerships. He returned to Reynolds in 2017 in an expanded role within the company’s sales training department. His responsibilities included analyzing the return on investment for new products and developing presentations for sales representatives. Benjamin is currently pursuing an investment banking internship for the summer of 2018.

      Phil Rawson is a junior at The Ohio State University pursuing a BSBA with a specialization in Finance and a minor in Economics. He is currently a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and is certified in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. Last summer, Phil worked as an investment and wealth management intern at Gries Financial, LLC in Cleveland. He was responsible for performing a competitive analysis for the firm, as well as analyzing new investment offerings and executing scenario analyses for high net worth clients. Additionally, Phil sat in on numerous investment committee meetings and investor pitches while he was there.

      Outside of work and school, Phil loves to travel and enjoys anything with an adrenaline rush, including skydiving, flyboarding, and snowboarding. He is currently pursuing an internship in investment banking or private equity for the summer of 2018.

      Benjamin Richards is a junior in the Fisher College of Business from Solon, Ohio pursuing a BSBA in Finance and a minor in Engineering Sciences. He is currently a member of the Integrated Business and Engineering Program, a 4-year academic program with the goal of giving participants cross-dimensional exposure to both business and engineering coursework. Ben was accepted into the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and has received certification in financial and valuation modeling through Wall Street Prep.                              

      In the summer of 2016, Ben interned for Midwest Industrial Supply, a chemical engineering company where he worked in a business role. In the summer of 2017, Ben interned at KeyBank in their Enterprise Commercial Payments division where he focused the majority of his time on developing a platform to gather competitive intelligence on competitor’s commercial card programs.

      Ben is on the executive board of Buckeye Capital Investors where he serves as the Vice President of Operations. Ben is also on the leadership council for the Integrated Business and Engineering program where he serves as the Vice President of Professional Development.

      Scott is a junior studying Finance and Pharmaceutical Science at The Ohio State University. He was selected into the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program last spring and is now certified in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. He is has been a member of Buckeye Capital Investors for 5 semesters now, where he currently serves as a Vice President. Scott also competed in the William Blair Investment Banking Case Competition last spring where his team won the OSU competition and competed in the finals in Chicago.

      Last summer Scott interned at Huntington Capital Markets in Columbus, Ohio. He assisted the Junior Capital team in helping clients secure financing from Private Equity investors. He was responsible for conducting industry research, creating management presentations on the clients’ behalf and finding potential investors based on investors’ target industry, geographic preference and target investment size. Scott currently works for the Fisher College of Business where he tutors the introductory finance course.

      This past summer, Ryan interned in London at Vistra, a financial consulting firm focused on company formations, corporate structuring, and administration. Ryan was responsible for building corporate structure charts, performing due diligence reviews on potential clients, and the preparation of two case studies.

      Sean Van De Weghe, originally from River Edge, New Jersey is a junior pursuing a BSBA in Finance with a minor in Economics in the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. Through this program, Sean will graduate with Honors distinction.       Outside of the classroom Sean is a representative on the Judicial Board for the Ohio Zeta chapter of Phi Delta Theta and a teaching assistant in The Ohio State University Accounting Department. This past summer Sean interned on the Global Brands Business Development team at Walgreens Boots Alliance in New York focusing on buy-side engagements in the consumer retail space. Through this experience, he was exposed to merger and acquisition processes and buy-side due diligence activities.

      Max is a junior in the Fisher College of Business pursuing a BSBA in Finance. He is a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and is certified in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. Outside of class, Max recruits for the Fisher college of Business as a campus Ambassador, where he gives tours of the business school and serves on a student panel. He is also an active member of Phi Sigma Kappa social fraternity.

      This past summer, Max worked as a finance intern at Ikove Venture Partners, a Columbus based venture development company founded to pursue early stage investments with emphasis on technology commercialization. He worked closely with the medical technology portfolio companies assisting in the creation and defense of their valuations.

      Prior to his collegiate career Max served over 4 years as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps. He completed two successful deployments during his enlistment including a deployment to Helmand Province, Afghanistan in early 2012.  Upon graduation Max hopes to pursue a career in investment banking.

He is a member of the Fisher Future Program in which he has received certification in financial and valuation modeling through Wall Street Prep. Over this past summer, he interned as a summer analyst for FBN Securities, where he conducted analyses in different areas of the market for long-short hedge funds.                           

      Outside of class, Evan is a co-founder of the Global Business Brigades chapter at OSU which is an organization that works to create sustainable growth in undeveloped communities internationally. He is also involved on campus in the Buckeye Capital Investors Club, Ohio States foremost investments club.

      Jake ChinitzJake Chinitz

      Jake is a junior in the Fisher College of Business from Westport, Connecticut pursuing a BSBA in Finance. He is currently a member of the Honors Finance Program, and as a sophomore was accepted into the highly selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program where he received certification in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. Outside of class he is Vice President of Industrials for Buckeye Capital Investors, an undergraduate student investment club on campus.

      In the summer of 2016, Jake interned at CastleKeep Investment Advisors, a wealth management firm for high net worth individuals. He returned there for the summer of 2017 to assume a bigger role in portfolio strategy and investment management. In the summer of 2018, he interned at FactSet, where he completed a training program in the software and worked with the sales team to screen for potential clients. He also interned at Vectra Capital, where he assisted traders in monitoring and managing their assets.

       

      Michael D’OnofrioMichael D’Onofrio

      Michael D'Onofrio is a junior at The Ohio State University pursuing a degree in Finance and Economics. He is currently the president of the Undergraduate Business Council as well as the Fisher Leadership Development Program. He is also involved in Buckeye Capital Investors and the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program.

      Michael spent the summer after his freshman year at LynQ, a start-up located in New York City. While there, he was responsible for business development, managing the supply line, and creating the company's financial documents. Since the summer after his sophomore year, Michael has been an intern at Copper Run Capital in Columbus, OH. There he is responsible for creating client material, researching potential buy-side/sell-side targets, and financial modeling. Michael will be interning with RBC after his junior year in their investment banking division.

       

      Ian GlennIan Glenn

      Ian Glenn is a junior from Houston, TX majoring in Finance at The Ohio State University. He was admitted to the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and is now certified in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. Outside of the classroom, Ian is involved with Buckeye Capital Investors, a club that focuses on the markets and holds stock pitch competitions. Furthermore, Ian has gone on volunteering trips with Buck-I-SERV to combine his passions for traveling and helping others.

      Ian has held several internships in the financial services industry. During his first year at Ohio State, Ian interned at Graystone Consulting, an institutional consulting firm for endowments, foundations and high-net-worth individuals. After his freshman year, Ian worked at Covariance Capital Management on the business development team trying to bring on more clients for the firm. Most recently, Ian interned in Denver, CO at Cook Street Consulting, an investment consulting firm providing services to U.S. and Canadian retirement plans.

      Outside of the classroom, Ian enjoys traveling and is an avid Houston sports fan.

       

      Jake GoodJake Good

      Jake Good is a junior in the Fisher College of Business from Mission Viejo, California pursuing a BSBA in Finance with a minor in Real Estate. He was admitted into the highly competitive Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and is now certified in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. Jake is a member of the Consulting Industry Immersion Program and also holds an executive board position in the Common Cents Investment Group.

      Outside of the classroom, Jake is a member of the men’s club water polo team, earning All-Conference distinction, as well as the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. This past summer, Jake interned at ROTH Capital Partners in Southern California, an investment bank specializing in the small-cap public market, as a member of their consumer and retail group. Aside from school and work, Jake enjoys going to concerts, hiking, bodysurfing, and watching sports. 

       

      Kevin HoeflingerKevin Hoeflinger

      Kevin Hoeflinger is a junior in the Fisher College of Business from Toledo, Ohio pursuing a BSBA in Finance with a minor in Economics. He was accepted into Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and is now certified in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. In addition, Kevin is involved in the Nonprofit Immersion Program where he is a non-voting member on the board of Vet Motorsports, Buckeye Capital Investors where he is an associate in the TMT sector, and Business Builders Club, Ohio State’s premier entrepreneurship club.

      This past summer, Kevin interned at Huntington National Bank in their treasury department. He was responsible for providing weekly market updates to the treasury department team on important news and events happening in the financial markets. He was also tasked with analyzing data compiled from Bloomberg to find trends in the market and treasury curve in order to recommend the best time to buy and sell bonds on Huntington’s balance sheet. 

       

      Sam HydeSam Hyde

      Sam is a junior from Canton, Ohio in the Fisher College of Business double specializing in Finance and Economics with a minor in Mathematics. He is currently a member of the Honors Cohort Program, Fisher’s flagship two-year academic program focused on leadership, service, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking through experiential learning. As a sophomore, Sam was accepted into the highly selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and has received certification in financial and valuation modeling through Wall Street Prep.

      Sam has had experience in the financial services industry as a Wealth Management intern at Ameriprise Financial in Canton, Ohio, as an Investments intern at Diamond Hill Capital Management in Columbus, Ohio, and as a Sales and Trading Summer Analyst at J.P. Morgan in Los Angeles, California. During his role at Diamond Hill, Sam had the opportunity to analyze investment research data to help evaluate portfolio returns. At J.P. Morgan, Sam created detailed pitch books overviewing foreign exchange fluctuations and financial derivative instruments, which were presented to clients and senior management.

      At Ohio State, Sam serves as the Vice President of Technology, Media, and Telecommunications for Buckeye Capital Investors, Ohio State’s preeminent investment club. He has also completed the curriculum and become a peer mentor in Ohio State’s Investment Banking Program. Outside of academics and work, he enjoys exercising as well as watching professional Cleveland sports.

       

      Jon KovalJon Koval

      Jon Koval is a junior in the Fisher College of Business from Lansing, MI pursuing a BSBA with specializations in Finance and Economics. He is a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and has received a certification in financial and valuation modelling through Wall Street Prep.

      Jon is also a member of the 22nd Honors Cohort, Fisher’s flagship two-year academic program focused on leadership, service, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking through experiential learning.At Ohio State, he serves as a teaching assistant in Fisher’s Accounting Department, research assistant in Fisher’s Management Sciences department, Managing Director of Healthcare for Buckeye Capital Investors, and a committee chair in the Stadium Scholarship Program.

      Last summer, Jon worked at Sopris Capital Associates as a private equity summer analyst in New York, NY, and will be returning to Sopris in an expanded role in the summer of 2019.

      Ryan is a junior from Dayton, OH majoring in Finance with a minor in Computer and Information Science. As a sophomore, Ryan was admitted into the Fisher Futures Investment Banking program and received certification in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. Along with Fisher Futures, Ryan is a member of Buckeye Capital Investors, a student-led investment club.

      Ryan spent this past summer as a Financial Innovation Intern at Nationwide in Columbus, OH and works as a small business Finance and Accounting consultant for Vision Financial Group during the school year. Outside of the classroom, Ryan is a brother of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity where he holds multiple committee positions and loves to golf and watch movies in his free-time.

       

      Alex LeszczAlex Leszcz

      Alex is a junior in the Fisher College of Business, specializing in Finance. He is originally from Rocky River, Ohio a small suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. He was accepted into the highly selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and received his certification in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. During the summer of 2018, Alex gained experience working for ShurTech, LLC as a finance and accounting intern.

      At Ohio State, Alex is involved with professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi and co-founded an investment committee. He is responsible for facilitating meetings and teaching other members of the fraternity about valuation and financial markets. Alex is also an associate in the Industrials group of Buckeye Capital Investors and serves as the treasurer of the Ohio State Men’s Club Lacrosse team. 

       

      Tess MoranTess Moran 

      Tess is a junior in the Fisher College of Business studying Finance & Economics and is also a member of the Honors Cohort Program, Fisher’s flagship two-year academic honors program focusing on experiential learning. She went through the Fisher Futures Program in the spring of her sophomore year and completed the Wall Street Prep financial modeling course.

      She has been an active member of Students Consulting for Non-Profit Organizations, MoneyThink, and is a peer financial coach for Scarlet and Gray Financial. During the summer of 2018, she worked at Rockwood Equity Partners in Cleveland, Ohio in a private equity & business development analyst role. She will be joining JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York as an investment banking summer analyst in summer 2019. 

       

      Nick PaleyNick Paley

      Nicholas Paley is a junior from Dayton, Ohio currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and a minor in Economics. He is an inaugural member of the Finance Honors Program at Ohio State, a faculty-selected cohort that allows for students to work and learn in a concentrated setting with some of the Fisher College of Business’ top professors. As well as being a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, a highly-competitive program geared towards developing students’ understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation, he is a member of Ohio State’s foremost investing club, Buckeye Capital Investors.

      Outside of Fisher, Nick is the Vice President of Programming for his fraternity, Beta Theta Pi, putting him in charge of organizing all philanthropic, service, and social related events. During the summer between Nick’s sophomore and junior year, he interned for Ayming Consulting Group, a multinational European operational consulting firm, in London, England. Within Ayming, he worked as a Cost Optimization Intern, analyzing client expenditure and researching market trends to initiate ways to cut costs and increase operational efficiency.

      Outside of his professional and academic endeavors, Nick enjoys watching 80’s movies, adding to his vinyl collection, traveling, and following the NBA. 

       

      Stephen QuirkStephen Quirk

      Stephen Quirk is a junior in the Fisher College of Business pursuing a BSBA in Finance and Economics, as well as a minor in Computer Information Systems. He is originally from Youngstown, Ohio, which is a small community in northeast Ohio, right along the Pennsylvania border. As a sophomore, he was accepted into the highly selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking program and has received certification in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep.

      Stephen is heavily involved outside of the classroom. He is a project leader with Buckeye Undergraduate Consulting Club currently working with American Electric Power (AEP) analyzing second use applications for EV batteries. He is also involved in Delta Sigma Pi professional fraternity where he devotes a lot of his time to mentoring the younger members to become better professionals. Stephen also is a member of the Buckeye Capital Investors club, and resides in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector—the same sector he hopes to be a part of full-time after graduation.

      This past summer, Stephen worked with AMEND Consulting in Cincinnati, Ohio as an analyst. He was staffed on three projects with middle-market companies, and got to travel throughout the U.S. In the summer of 2018, Stephen will be interning as an investment banking analyst at William Blair in Chicago. 

       

      Brian SchoefflerBrian Schoeffler

      Brian Schoeffler is a junior in the Fisher College of Business from Twinsburg, Ohio pursuing a BSBA in Finance and Economics. He is an active member of Buckeye Capital Investors where he serves on the executive board as treasurer as well as a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program. He was also involved in the newly formed Investment Banking Program which helped prepare him for Fisher Futures.

      Brian spent the summer after freshman year in a corporate strategy/accounting position at Hispec Wheel and Tire in Mishawaka, Indiana. That led him to receive an offer as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Lancaster Pollard in Columbus, Ohio after his sophomore year. There, he gained valuable investment banking experience covering the healthcare real-estate sector with a focus on senior-living.

      All of these experiences helped prepare Brian to compete for an investment banking internship in Chicago where he has accepted an offer from William Blair for summer 2019.

       

      Scottie SeymourScottie Seymour

      Scottie Seymour is a junior at The Ohio State University double specializing in Finance and Economics. He is a member of the varsity baseball team at Ohio State. He is a current member of the Honors Cohort Program, Fisher’s flagship two-year academic program focused on leadership, service, interpersonal skills and critical thinking through experiential learning. Scottie is also involved in Buckeye Capital Investors where he is an associate in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sector.

      As a sophomore Scottie was accepted into the highly selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and has received certification in financial and valuation modeling through Wall Street Prep. In the summer of 2017, Scottie worked as a Finance Intern for Pilkington North America. While at Pilkington he redesigned the data storage system and ran queries for senior credit analysts.

      Scottie spent the summer of 2018 in New Market, Virginia playing baseball in the Valley Baseball League for the New Market Rebels. He plans on pursuing an investment banking career post-graduation. 

       

      Jasmin ShawJasmin Shaw

      Jasmin Shaw is a junior in the Fisher College of Business studying Finance, International Business, and Philosophy. She is also a member of the inaugural class of Fisher’s Finance Honors Program. Jasmin became interested in investment banking through her participation in the Investment Banking Program during her freshman and sophomore year. Her sophomore year she was accepted into the Fisher Futures Program and received certification in financial and valuation modeling through Wall Street Prep.

      Outside of class, Jasmin was involved in the Business Scholars Program her first two years. She is currently the Vice President of the National Association of Black Accountants. During the summer of 2018, Jasmin interned with Citigroup through their Sophomore Leadership Program. She completed rotations in Citi’s Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, and Markets Group. She will be returning to Citi in the Investment Bank for summer 2019. 

       

      Jay SilverJay Silver

      Jay Silver is a third year studying finance in the Fisher College of Business, and is a member of the Fisher Futures class of 2020. On campus, Jay is a member of Buckeye Capital Investors, an alumni of and current mentor to the Investment Banking Program, and a member of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. In the summer after his sophomore year, Jay interned at Axium Infrastructure, a Canadian energy and infrastructure private equity firm, working out of their New York City and Montreal offices.

      For the summer after his junior year, Jay will be interning in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division in New York City, in their classic (industry coverage) side of the investment bank. In his free time, Jay enjoys golf, pickup basketball, screenwriting and video production, and hanging out with friends. 

       

      Alec SingerAlec Singer

      Alec is currently a junior at Ohio State working toward a B.S.B.A specializing in Finance, Accounting, and Economics. He currently is part of the executive board of Buckeye Capital Investors serving as the VP of membership development where he leads a once a week session designed for underclassman to learn about accounting principles, investment instruments, and valuation techniques. Alec also acts as a veteran liaison for the Fisher College of Business helping with communication within the veteran community and Fisher.

      Additionally, Alec is an active brother of the Ohio State Chapter of Kappa Sigma and also volunteers to mentor first and second graders from underprivileged communities through the CMFK program. Professionally, Alec has been working at the Private Equity firm RiverWest Partners since December 2017 as an Investment Associate where he works with the partners from the valuation phase through execution and the management of the portfolio.

      Outside of academics and carrier ambitions, Alec serves in Marine Corps as a (5811) Field MP. Alec will be working for Barclays in Manhattan as an Investment Banking Summer analyst this upcoming summer.

       

      Karey UltstadKarey Ulstad

      Karey is a junior in the Fisher College of Business studying Finance and is also in the Honors Finance Program. She went through the Fisher Futures Program in spring of her sophomore year and completed the Wall Street Prep financial modeling course. She has been an active member in Common Cents Investment Group since her freshman year and is currently the President.

      Additionally, she is a peer financial coach for Scarlet and Gray Financial. During the summer of 2018, she worked at Axium Infrastructure in New York and Montreal, where she evaluated numerous renewable energy and other core infrastructure assets.       Ani VaranasiAni Varanasi

      Ani Varanasi is a junior from Canton, Michigan, majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics. He is a current member of Buckeye Capital Investors as a Vice President in the Consumer & Retail Group, and a part of the 22nd class of the Honors Cohort Program. As a sophomore, Ani was admitted into the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, a highly-competitive, faculty-selected program that exposes students to financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation. He is also certified in Wall Street Prep, a financial modeling and valuation course.

      This past summer, Ani interned at Huntington National Bank, as a Summer Analyst in the Capital Markets division. There, he assisted both the Debt Capital Markets & Equity Capital Markets teams. Previously, throughout his sophomore year, Ani was an intern at UBS Financial Services in Dublin, OH, where he worked with the group’s Wealth Management team. Next summer, Ani will be an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at BMO Capital Markets in Chicago, Illinois. Outside of school, Ani is interested in sports, travel, movies, poker, and cooking. 

       

      Will WeidelingWill Weideling

      Will Weideling is a third-year student studying Finance within the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. He is a current member of Buckeye Capital Investors, Ohio State’s foremost investment club; the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, a highly-competitive, faculty-selected program that exposes student to financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation; and Delta Tau Delta Fraternity where he serves as the Director of Continued Member Education.

      In the summer of 2018, Will worked at Worthington Industries as a summer analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department. In this role he worked with various investment banks on potential acquisition opportunities and produced inorganic growth strategies for Worthington Industries. Outside of the classroom and work, Will enjoys baseball, fishing, snowboarding, golf, and SCUBA diving.
