Born in Buffalo, NY, Christian has always taken a great interest in math and science, especially in how the world works. At age 10, he placed four AA batteries inside a microwave to see what would happen and he also learned how to fix drywall. As a freshman in high school, Christian moved to Detroit, MI to pursue a career in hockey. After traveling the country to states such as Vermont, Iowa, and Nebraska, Christian signed an offer with The Ohio State University. A member of the Varsity Men’s Ice Hockey team, Christian is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics through the Integrated Systems Engineering Program. Christian plans to eventually obtain a Master of Business Administration. Christian has taken part in multiple masculinity and African Americans in sports focus groups and talks. In May 2016, he led a group of student-athletes to Jamaica and distributed over 1,500 shoes to children in need. Christian’s journey brings a unique perspective that can be translated into innovation and improvement for business ideas. His analytical and programming skills are useful assets to the CIE team.
