Jiang honored by Academy of Management

Highlighting a new generation of thought leadership at Fisher, Kaifeng Jiang was named the recipient of the HR Division Early Career Achievement Award by the Academy of Management (AOM) at its 2018 conference.

Jiang, an associate professor in the Department of Management and Human Resources, joined Fisher in 2017, bringing with him research interests in the effects of human resource management (HRM) practices on employee, team and organizational outcomes, as well as boundary conditions and mediating mechanisms of HRM effects on outcomes.

“This honor reflects Kaifeng’s commitment to producing the thought-provoking research that is shaping the field of management,” said Bennett Tepper, the Irving Abramowitz Memorial Professor at Fisher and chair of Department of Management and Human Resources. “His selection as the recipient of the Early Career Achievement Award is a testament to the passion and dedication that will no doubt serve him well throughout his academic career.”

Jiang has published more than 20 articles in journals such as Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Personnel Psychology, and he has co-authored nine book chapters. He is an associate editor of Human Resource Management Journal and currently serves on the editorial review boards of seven journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Personnel Psychology. He is also actively involved in the activities of the HR Division of the Academy of Management, of which he was elected to the executive committee in 2017.
