Background

Nilesh Khare joins the Department of Management and Human Resources as a visiting assistant professor. He comes back to Fisher with additional teaching, consulting, and diverse international experience gained over last five years in the United Arab Emirates. He continues to consult companies in the UAE and India, and earlier worked with consulting majors such as KPMG in South Africa and PricewaterhouseCoopers in India. 

Khare earned a PhD from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, an MBA in finance and marketing, and a CFA from ICFAI Business School-Hyderabad in India, and a BE in electronics and telecommunications from Malaviya National Institute of Technology in India. His research interests include theories and perspectives that shed light on issues such as vertical integration, diversification and strategic alliances. He is also keen on examining strategic issues in the context of Microfinance. His professional affiliations include the Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society and Council of Chartered Financial Analysts of India.

Khare brings teaching experience in strategy, international business management, managing corporate performance and innovation and change management.

  • BUSMHR 7412 - Competitive Analysis

    Tools to identify, parse, and analyze the economic and market data necessary to complete a comprehensive strategic analysis of business competition. Application of major steps in industry analysis, competitive positioning, capability analysis, competitor analysis, and some private equity valuation. Prereq: Enrollment in MBA or WPMBA program, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for 838.
