MBA Leadership and Professional Development program ranked 20th by magazine


Fisher’s MBA Leadership and Professional Development program has been ranked 20th among universities, management and business schools by Leadership Excellence magazine in its annual “Best in Leadership Development for 2009.”

Leadership Excellence, a 25-year-old magazine, is published by Executive Excellence, a training and publishing firm based in Provo, Utah.  The magazine ranks leadership development programs in a range of categories, such as corporate, government, non-profits. Programs are evaluated based on seven criteria, including vision and mission; involvement and participation; design, content and curriculum; and presenters and presentation.

Fisher’s Leadership and Professional Development program helps MBA candidates hone their leadership capabilities and professional skills through a diverse range of activities, including  career development seminars, executive speaker series and corporate and alumni networking events.

Companies such as General Electric, Boeing and Procter and Gamble were among the large organizations ranked this year. In the education category, Fisher was ranked along with University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, the University of Chicago’s Graduate Business School’s leadership program and the John F. Kennedy School of Government for Public Leadership at Harvard.
