Fisher College of Business and present Six Sigma training designed as the most time-sensitive, value-driven program in existence. Total Quality Management principles identify and eliminate operations inefficiencies in each and every process of a company’s product or service.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training uses time-tested processes to enable your company to increase profits, strengthen market share and improve customer satisfaction.

The program features a self-paced 140-hour online program followed by a one-week in-class experience. All online sessions must be completed before attending the in-class portion of the program.

Step 1
Online course (140 hours): Participants should estimate two to three months to complete this self-paced course.

Step 2
During the online learning phase, students will participate with Six Sigma faculty members in a series of four interactive faculty-led web conference calls leading up to the classroom session.

Step 3
Instructor-led classroom session (one week): Classroom instruction gives students the opportunity to apply web-based knowledge through hands-on activities. Duration of classroom phase is one business week, Monday through Friday. On-site custom programs are also available.

  • Lead teams in applying the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology to attack waste
  • Prioritize improvement activities for greatest organizational impact
  • Define improvement projects to satisfy customer requirements and reduce variability
  • Measure inputs and outputs to provide meaningful data
  • Analyze data to identify the root cause of variability, including the use of Design of Experiments
  • Control the process to prevent backsliding and consolidate the gains
  • Analyze quality cost
  • Improve the process to reduce variability
  • Prepare for the Fisher certification exam or the ASQ certification exam
