Quarters to Semesters

As you probably know, The Ohio State University is switching to a semester schedule in summer 2012.  As a result, after this spring, we will be offering just TWO opportunities per year to start the WP MBA program rather than four – fall semester (August) and spring semester (January).

We are currently accepting applications for winter quarter 2012, spring quarter 2012 and fall semester 2012.  We have received many questions from prospective students wondering if you should start the program on the quarter system or wait to begin on semesters.  We have transition plans in place for quarter to semester options, so it is up to you.  Here is what I can tell you:

If you start in winter 2012, you will be able to finish the program at the end of spring 2014 – about 2.5 years to completion.

If you start in spring 2012, you will be able to finish the program at the end of fall semester 2014 – about 2.75 years to completion.

If you start in fall 2012, you will be able to finish the program at the end of spring 2015 – about 2.75 years to completion.

The pace of completion will depend on how many courses you take per term.  These estimates assume a typical course load for a WP MBA student.
