OCM Staff Spotlight: Courtney Russell

Courtney Russell is the Front Desk Assistant and former Career Events Intern in the Office of Career Management, as well as a senior Marketing student at the Fisher College of Business.  She has worked in the OCM for three years!  Her favorite part about her time working in the OCM is the amazing staff members she gets to work with everyday.  Courtney loves seeing when students come in with a problem and our staff is immediately able to help them with whatever they need.  Courtney first worked as a camp counselor for teenagers!  Her dream job is to be a travel blogger (is there a theme in this office?!)  She loves to travel and thinks it would be awesome to tour around the world for a job!  Outside of work, Courtney is involved with the business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, and she has interned at DSW and Express the last two summers. She hopes to work in the fashion retail industry when she graduates.  Her favorite spot on campus is the Orton Library.  It is a very old building and some of the desks have notes hidden from students in years past!  You might be surprised to know that Courtney has been an Ohio State fan her whole life and she used to have “OSU parades” in her house when she was 5!  Courtney’s advice for Fisher undergraduate business students is, “prepare as early as possible!  Utilize this office for everything from resume and LinkedIn appointments to mock interviews and job negotiation practice.  There are so many experts in this office, try to stop by at least once a semester!”
