Jaret Waters

Meet Jaret Waters, a sophomore from Copley, Ohio, double majoring in economics and Spanish. In addition to his interest in journalism, Jaret likes learning about different Spanish dialects. This interest inspired him to study abroad last summer in Santiago, Chile, which was his first time outside of the U.S. The trip helped him hone his Spanish skills and led to a greater appreciation for immigrants.

Engage:  During his first semester, Jaret applied his interest in journalism by joining Fisher Ink, a student-produced magazine. One year later, he is now its VP of Writing.

Emerge: After learning the importance of leadership, Jaret pledged Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity at Fisher.  He is now its Vice President of Professional Activities and aims to promote diversity and inclusion within the organization.

Dedicate: While at Fisher, Jaret helped reactivate Out in Business, a student organization that supports the development of LGBTQ students in the local business community by becoming the organization’s treasurer.

Lead: During the rest of his time at Fisher, Jaret is looking forward to maintaining his current involvements and collaborating with different student organizations to provide a closer Fisher community.
