My Fisher Internship
Pay it Forward!

Written by:

This Friday I had the privilege to visit the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus with fellow KPMG interns for a little community service.  We brought new books for the kids and read to them – or in my case, let them read to us!

Advisory intern Bobby Rutland reads to the kids of the Boys and Girls Club.

After reading to the kids, we helped them paint their hand print on a brand new bookshelf that will house the books we’re currently collecting in our local office book drive.

Audit intern and fellow OSU student Tim Hipskind helps a Boys and Girls Club attendee make her hand print on the club's new bookshelf.

It was great to be able to donate our time to a great cause, one that KPMG as a worldwide firm holds close to its heart as well.  The firm’s Family for Literacy program helps puts books in the hands of kids throughout the nation.  Our intern community service event and nationwide philanthropic work makes me proud to be an employee of KPMG.  And who wouldn’t love to spend an afternoon with these great kids?!?!
