My Fisher Internship
The little Ireland of America

Written by:

Hi everyone!

Over the course of my internship, I have gotten a chance to explore the cute little suburb of Dublin, OH. I have lived in Columbus for 3 years or so now and have never really explored all of the surrounding areas. Dublin is actually really nice, with pretty parks, houses, TONS of restaurants, and living up to an Irish kind of feel. Every now and then to celebrate being done with a mini project, or someone nailing a new position within Cardinal, our team gets out of the office to have lunch or go to happy hour around Dublin. I have tried some local restaurants called Brazenhead, Oscars, Tucci’s, and Matt the Millers to name a few. Many of the restaurants have an Irish pub kind of feel and nice patios for sitting outside. Its really nice to escape our cubes and have a little fun in a more casual setting with the team every now and then. Work hard play hard is the way to go.

One of the local favorites of the summer, was the Dublin Irish Festival, the largest of its kind in the country. The festival has amazing Irish food, whiskey tastings, Irish bands, bagpipes, and more men in kilts than you can imagine. The interns actually volunteered at the festival at beer tables and the Dublin Food Pantry station last weekend (I was at the food pantry station). I went to the festival last year and this year…definitely reccommend it for those who haven’t gone! Also, it is one of the few places that I have seen my name on personalized items…ever!! The next major Dublin event is the quarter and half marathon this September! Keep reading to learn more about Dublin and my life at Cardinal!
