My Fisher Internship
Greetings from the Windy City!

Written by:

Hello everyone!  My name is Josh Puterbaugh and I am an Accounting major from Cleveland, Ohio.  I graduated from Saint Ignatius High School in 2007 and will be graduating from The Ohio State University Spring Quarter of 2011.

This summer, I am interning with KPMG LLP in their Chicago office, as well as their Dublin, Ireland office during the month of July. (more on that later!)  KPMG is a Big Four accounting firm that works with both publicly traded and privately traded companies.  The firm works to assist its clients with all of their audit, advisory, and tax needs.  My position in the Chicago office is within KPMG’s Audit practice and my position in the Dublin, Ireland office is within KPMG’s Advisory practice.

KPMG offers a Global Internship Program that all interns can apply for upon acceptance of their internship offers and I am one of the interns that was selected for the program.  This summer, KPMG is sending interns to Brazil, India, New Zealand, France, Norway, South Africa, and of course, Ireland.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to spend four weeks in Dublin working for KPMG and learning more about the business practices of another country.  I just recently took Fisher’s International Business class so the timing for this international internship could not have been more perfect!

I spent this past week in training for both the Global Internship Program and technical training for Audit and will blog about that experience soon!
