It's official! The MBA class of 2011 has finished their first quarter! It's been truly a blessing to meet so many interesting people - the students, the professors, the career management staff... pretty much everyone at Fisher has been wonderful to work with. After reading some of the other bloggers' posts from this week/weekend, I do not really want to repeat too much of what has already been said, so I'll leave you with just a few words:To those of you who are seeing your families before Winter quarter - enjoy the good food and conversations you are sure to have!

For those of you that are unfamiliar with a mobius strip, check out the picture below. If you chose a starting point and begin moving along the strip, you will traverse the whole strip without ever reaching an edge. Why is this the headline of this post, you ask?[caption id="attachment_3504" align="aligncenter" width="230" caption="A Mobius Strip"][/caption]Well, it's the image that came to mind when I thought about what these next seven days represent.

Great news! All the hard work of tweaking my resume, making a huge "STAR" worksheet for interviewing, and hunting for possible internships through Fisher Connect, Monster and LinkedIn seems to have paid off!I received a summer internship offer from Ford Motor Company, specifically in their "Parts, Supply and Logistics" Group. I was honestly a little worried about that interview, because Ford is one of my top choices, which made me a little nervous. If you recall my "About Me" post, you will remember that I have been tinkering with big, loud, fast Fords for the past seven years.

So in case you are not a Fisher student, let me clarify... OB stands for Organizational Behavior, one of our five course classes this quarter. This class is co-taught by Anthony Rucci, who has done some truly amazing research, all while being very humble about it, and Larry Inks, one mean, mean dodgeball player. This class has given me a lot to think about, even though I've technically had an Org Behavior class already (during my Master's program at Michigan State University).

This past week was pretty tough for me, personally. Upon discovering my second oldest guinea pig, Burger, was sick on Tuesday, I knew I was in for a bad time. After nursing another guinea pig for several weeks last winter before losing her to pneumonia, I knew exactly the heartbreak I was in for. Burger followed a similar course - losing weight, very apathetic, weak, and in general, just suffering. While dealing with this, I also had to study for a Data Analysis exam on Thursday.
