Have a LEFE car? Get a preferred parking space at Ohio State
Pretty cool acronym, right? Low Emission Fuel Efficient is what it stands for. And if you're one of the lucky few that have a car that meets the requirements laid out by the Transportation and Parking department, you can get some pretty choice spots in the parking garages.
No more circling around and around in a garage looking for a spot (which is actually pretty bad for the environment and the wallet if your car is not low emissions or fuel efficient or either). Instead, most garages have a whole row for cars just like yours. The spots are up front and usually closest to the exits.
Look for one of the LEFE signs, identifiable by the green coloring and Buckeye leaf, and park. No need for any extra permits, but there is an optional LEFE sticker you can apply to your car to show you are doing your part for the conservation of the environment.
For more information, check out their website and see if your car is eligible for the program.
