Oscar Predictions

As I’ve mentioned before, I am a bit of a movie junkie so I have decided to make some Oscar predictions for today’s blog post. Here is my ranking of the best picture nominations (all of which I’ve seen) and my picks for the other major categories (I’ve seen almost all of the nominated films).

Best Picture: 1) Inglourious Basterds 2) The Hurt Locker – will win best picture 3) An Education 4) Up In The Air 5) Precious 6) Up 7) A Serious Man 8) District 9 9) Avatar 10) The Blind Side

Best Actor: Jeff Bridges for Crazy Heart

Best Actress: Sandra Bullock for The Blind Side but Carey Mulligan for An Education or Helen Mirren for The Last Station could surprise.

Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz for Inglourious Basterds

Best Suporting Actress: Mo’Nique for Precious

Best Animated Picture: Up

Best Director: Kathryn Bigelow for The Hurt Locker

Best Documentary: The Cove

Best Adapted Screenplay: Jesse Armstrong, Simon Blackwell, Armando Iannucci, Tony Roche for In The Loop

Best Original Screenplay: Quentin Tarantino for Inglourious Basterds
