When it rains, it pours (or snows very heavily, in this case)
It has been a really rough week. It seems that when it rains it pours. Monday, I had an interview with Time Warner and had a rough time getting there because of the snow. I also had a midterm Monday night and after spending an hour writing like crazy, I attempted to make my way home. *Side note: in studying for essay exams, it's very helpful to remember 2 or 3 key points from any books you have to read, and the names of the people who made those points. Also, when you start your exam, immediately write down those points and the person's name before you even look at the questions so that you can at least jog your memory with some of the important parts. Also, make an outline of how you want to answer each of the questions. It really helps to organize your thoughts. I have been the first one done for each of Heneman's exams and so far I've received an "A" for the exams, so it must be working at least somewhat - this is my advice for the week* Anyway...On my way home from my exam, I took a lovely spinning ride down 315. It took me over an hour to go 15 miles, mostly highway. I've never been so scared in my life. Hopefully I never have to do that again. After a very boring snow day and Mardi Gras, I attempted to leave my apartment this morning to no avail. My poor car wouldn't start. Sigh. Now I have my dad's car and I have to figure out how to get my car to Germain while working and having class at night. Thank goodness for my mom inĀ helping me with that, and for my dad and fiance for calming me down in my hysteria this morning.
Anyway, I'm looking for the week to get better. I hear back on Friday about whether or not I got the interview. If I don't get it, I'll be sad, not because I didn't get it, but because my interviewer gave me such positive feedback and kept telling me how great of a fit I would be and how my experience was amazing. *Fingers Crossed*
But, the good news is that I'm going up to Michigan this weekend and while I'm up there, I'm going to the MSU vs OSU basketball game and I'll be sitting in the student section. I'll update everyone to let you know if they kick me out for not being an MSU fan. Should be entertaining, to say the least.
Hope every one's week is great, and that your cars work, you don't get stuck in the snow and stay warm! On the upside, we quite possibly will break the February snowfall record of 29", set in 1910. As of Monday, we were at 25". Yay for memorable winters.
