Well, I only have 5 classes left until the end of my first quarter as a graduate student. Today was the first day I didn’t have to go to work or anywhere for that matter since the beginning of the quarter. And, what did I do today? I dog sat my sister’s dog, Bonnie (picture below). My sister LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVES this dog. She is pretty cute, I’ll admit it. She’s just over 2 years old. My mom works in the Department of Animal Sciences (at OSU) and one of the graduate students she works with found this dog abandoned in an evicted apartment right above his (what kind of person leaves a dog behind?!?!). So Mike rescued Bonnie and my sister was preparing to move away from home and decided to take her in to keep her company. Needless to say, she’s quite attached to this dog, so for her to let me dog sit was pretty cool :). And, it gave me a distraction as I worked on my portion of my groups 25 page paper. The picture is stolen from Jenn’s facebook photo album, and to give you an idea of how awesome she thinks this dog is, the album is titled “BONNIE!!! Cutest puppy in the world =P” She’s ok.
Anyway, dog-sitting that pup is not the reason I’m relaxed. I have lounged all day while starting/finishing my section of my group project’s paper and powerpoint, I made chili for dinner and it’s currently in the crock pot cooking and will be ready for when I get home from my group project meeting which I have at 6:30, I cleaned my kitchen, and I finished my yoga project which is due tomorrow. Now, I just have to study for my stats exam and write my formula sheet for said exam. Everything is pretty much smooth sailing for the rest of the quarter. Whew! Not too bad, I’d say. Oh and another reason I’m relaxed is that I may or may not have been listening to Christmas music all day long.
On a sad note, one of my fiance’s friend at Michigan State passed away Saturday. Please keep Brian’s family, his AGR brothers and the rest of the MSU ag family in your thoughts and prayers.
