Adrenaline Rush!
What a rush! On Sunday I joined 6 of my classmates for an outstanding day at Summit Vision

. Summit Vision is a corporate leadership and challenge center here in Columbus. They have tons of great activities to help groups of people create a bond and improve upon their team building skills. They offer different programs, including:
Team Building: Initiatives, Information Exchange, Heist, and Poseidon Adventure
Amazing Race Challenge
Kilimanjaro Ropes Course with Zip Lines
Summit Ropes Course with Giant Swings…etc.
My group did four activities. Our first activity was a balance activity. We had to get the 7 of us on a giant teeter totter and keep the teeter totter balanced while changing positions. This activity helped us with our communication skills and made us realize that we should try coming up with a strategy prior to trying the task. The next activity was the zip line. I absolutely loved the zip line and the encouragement from my classmates was amazing! The third activity included us having to get from point A to point B without touching the ground by using 7 blocks. This activity reminded me that I need to stay focused even when nearing the end of a project. Finally, we did the giant swing. I think the giant swing was the most fun and I was proud of all of my classmates for at least trying to do this activity even though they are terrified of heights.
I attended the MLHR Roundtable tonight and we discussed implementing the Summit Vision experience into the MLHR orientation for next year or even having the second year MLHR students facilitate team building activities at Summit Vision with the first years. Either way, I think the Summit Vision experience is one that everyone should have the chance to enjoy!
