So, JT, JP, and I headed out to Chengdu, the capital of the Sichuan Province (and a city that has impressed me in terms of its size, infrastructure, tourism, and people), to go see some PANDAS!
It has been crazy last few days (and nights and mornings) working on the final presentation... Kudos to the team for reaching till this point in spite of all the hurdles !!
More to come on the final day...
Team London is currently rehearsing in the conference room that, in just 2 hours, will be the setting for our exciting final presentation! We did a dry run with the Managing Director yesterday morning, and we received a very positive reaction and great questions for follow up. The 6 of us have worked very hard leading up to this day, and I'm confident that we have a stellar deliverable for Interxion. We are all optimistic and very much looking forward to this grand finale!
One of us will fill you in with a follow-up post to describe how it goes! :-)
On Monday morning 5/19, we woke up to no internet. The city was in the midst of a rolling blackout, which apparently happens quite frequently. Our hotel was powered by a back-up generator, so our lights and water were (for the most part) working, but the internet was out and the phones were also spotty. Ethiotel, the country's only landline and cell phone provider, was also experiencing intermittent outages. Even so, we were luckier than most, since many people have no backup power supply.
All right folks - so after seeing the adorable pandas, we headed off to Jinli Ancient Street in Chengdu, which basically is a bustling street where you can savor some delicious street food and also shop in small stores for several traditional items Later in the evening, I decided to go watch the Sichuan Opera, and I'm VERY GLAD that I made this decision. The Opera was FANTASTIC featuring some incredible acts and traditional performances. Take a look at the pictures:
