Registration for the 2011 EFA Conference is now closed.

Limited onsite registration and payment via Credit Card or Paypal will be possible at the conference.  Note that we are not able to accept cash payments.  Onsite registration does not include any of the social program events.  Also note that the seating capacity for lunches has been reached (600), so lunches are included only to the extent there are no-shows.

Registration Fees:

1. Participants with submitted paper/members of the EFA:
Participants who paid the paper submission fee are already members of the EFA for 2011.  This includes the subscription to the Review of Finance (4 issues per year).

2. Participant without submitted paper/not members of the EFA:
The EFA membership fee for 2011 is Euro 60 including Belgian VAT of 21%.

3. Program Committee discount:
Members of the EFA 2011 program committee will receive a Euro 25 discount on the registration fee as a token of appreciation of their hard work on the program.
4. Press Registration:
Accredited members of the press are welcome to attend the regular academic conference sessions free of charge (meals and social events are not included).  We request that all members of the press register their planned attendance by sending an e-mail with full contact details to so that badges can be issued.  Press registration does not include access to social events or meals.

Online Conference Participation Fee Covers (Note, social events are not available, and lunches not guaranteed, for onsite registrants):

  • Admission to all regular academic sessions (August 18, 19, and 20 (1/2 day))
  • Welcome Reception at Stockholm School of Economics (August 17)
  • Buffet Reception at City Hall (August 18)
  • Refreshments during breaks (August 18, 19, 20 (morning))
  • Lunches (August 18, 19 and 20 (boxed lunch))
  • Swedish VAT of 25%.

Not Included in Registration Fee:
Euro 50 admission fee to the Conference Dinner at the Vasa Museum (August 19).

We unfortunately cannot accommodate any more companions.

*Ph.D. students must show their student ID card at the registration.

Cancellation Policy:
In case of cancellation, the registration fee minus handling charges (Euro 50) will be refunded, provided the cancellation is made in writing before July1, 2011.  After this date, no refunds will be made for cancellations.

The participant acknowledges that he/she has no right to lodge damage claims against the organizers should the conference be hindered or canceled due to unexpected political or economic events or force majeure, or should the cancellation of speakers or other reasons necessitate changes to the program.  Upon registration, the participant accepts these conditions.

Conference organizers accept no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages suffered by conference participants or their companions in connection with the conference.  Organizers cannot be held responsible for accidents involving conference participants or accompanying persons, for damage, or loss of their personal property, or for cancellation expenses regardless of cause.  Participants are advised to organize their own travel insurance to cover them for their stay in Sweden.
