A Fisher doctoral student with experience in entrepreneurship volunteered his expertise in 2010 for the Ohio State Haiti Empowerment Project. The effort, started in the College of Education and Human Ecology by Terri Teal Bucci, an associate professor in education, has expanded its scope to become multidisciplinary.
Enter Chris Sutter, a PhD student at Fisher, who traveled to Haiti to help entrepreneurs establish new businesses 10 months after an earthquake hit the country. Sutter held a business plan competition and hosted workshops to help Haitians set up businesses.
